Publisher's light grayish-brown cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, front board stamped in gilt and black; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers, flyleaves. Spine just barely askew; backstrip very faintly dulled; covers lightly darkened with a few specks of soiling and a faint tidemark to the bottom corner of the front board; extremities with a touch of wear; corners bent. Front hinge cracked, since mended, front free endpaper replaced; occasional over-opening. Good, but still with a nice overall appearance. Collection of nine short stories. BAL 3436. (#10105).
