Original card game deck, expanded reissue (3.5 x 2.5 inches; 87 x 63 mm.). 72 cards, printed one side with a floral pattern the card-backs. 36 cards with illustrated portraits, the other half with an illustration and title list; decorative margins. Original publisher's red paper-covered, gilt-stamped box. Lacking the instruction booklet if issued with one. Box edges worn with some mild chipped; gilt worn and very lightly tarnished. Box interior liner renewed. Cards with only routine wear and some soft creasing. Good. Mark Twain card probably supplied with green coloring not on other cards and a different floral card back, otherwise identical and clearly contemporary. (#10313).
