Publisher's reddish-brown cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, front board stamped in gilt, painted in white and ruled in blind; top edge of the text block stained brown, others rough-trimmed; illustrated endpapers. Spine ends gently pushed and very lightly worn, particularly at the crown; touch of wear to the corners. A few trivial scuffs to the top stain. Near fine. Contains the first printing of a Mark Twain letter on pages 182-183. (#10242).
