Publisher's dark green cloth, spine and front board lettered in black and ruled in white, front board decoratively stamped in black and white; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers. Spine somewhat leaning; backstrip rubbed with the white rules worn away; joints and edges lightly worn, particularly at the spine ends and corners; front board rubbed, some white stamping worn away, with a small bubble beneath the cloth; corners tapped. Slightly shaken; front endpaper excised; occasional over-opening; a few marginal fox marks. Good. Contains nine stories about Mark Twain (numbers 1, 87, 203, 208, 263, 344, 419, 492 and 596).
