Publisher's blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, boards ruled in blind; top edge of the text block gilt, others untrimmed; blue endpapers. Spine very slightly askew; backstrip faintly dulled; extremities very lightly rubbed; corners slightly bent. Front hinge just starting; endpapers faintly discolored in the hinges and along the edges; book label on the front pastedown and the remnants of another paper label since removed on the front free end paper. Near fine. Discusses Mark Twain in the essay "Our Early Newspaper Wits," on pages 247-249. (#10192).
