Quarto (10.75 x 8 inches; 273 x 200 mm.). 569, [7, blank] pages. Numerous full-page illustrations throughout (including frontispiece); two photographs of Twain (pages [407] and [411]). Publisher's red cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, New York state seal on front board stamped in gilt and painted in white; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers. Covers with a few minor abrasions, partially obscuring a few letters on the spine; backstrip with some very shallow wrinkles; spine ends, headband and corners very lightly worn; bottom corners bumped; seal flaking around the edge and lightly rubbed. Fore edge of the text with a very faint tidemark in the margin of the first few leaves; bottom corner of the text softly bumped; a few very faint fox marks on the bottom edge. Very good. Contains the full text of "Twain on Fulton," following the publication of a brief extract in Extracts from the Minutes and Report of the Robert Fulton Monument Association in 1907. BAL 3512. (#10132).
