Tennessee Williams. 27 Wagons Full of Cotton. And Other Plays. Norfolk, Connecticut: New Directions, [1953]. Third edition, augmented by two newly published plays. Octavo (8 x 5.25 inches; 202 x 135 mm.). [2, blank], xii, 238 pages. Publisher's smooth yellow cloth, spine lettered in dark grayish blue; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $3.50. Covers dulled where exposed from dust jacket imperfections and beneath the jacket illustration on the front panel; spine gently leaning. Text block browned; a few corners of early leaves creased (just in the margins); rear endpapers tanned and slightly discolored from binding glue; small splash to the fore-edge of the front free endpaper. Dust jacket edges and folds worn with chipping to the crown adjacent upper margins (not affecting any lettering), as well as at the fold edges; lightly rubbed. About very good. Originally published in 1945, adding the previously unpublished "Something Unspoken" and "Talk To Me Like the Rain." (#10047).
