Frontispiece illustration inserted. Publisher's orange cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front board lettered and ruled in black and stamped in black and yellow; top edge of the text block gilt, others rough-trimmed; floral endpapers. Backstrip a little dulled with a few minor scuffs; shallow ridge to the spine; covers lightly rubbed (particularly on the front board) with a few specks of soiling; joints and edges slightly worn; corners bent. Top edge gilt lightly tarnished; some sparse foxing to the preliminary gathering; publisher's catalog tanned; rear hinge starting. Very good. BAL 3460. (#10120).
