Octavo (7.375 x 5 inches; 187 x 125 mm.). [8], 414, [1, small woodcut], [1, blank] pages with a 32-page publisher's catalog inserted at the rear, dated September 1900 (later state). Frontispiece illustration inserted. Publisher's orange cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front board lettered and ruled in black and stamped in black and yellow; top edge of the text block gilt, others rough-trimmed; floral endpapers. Backstrip a little dulled; covers slightly soiled with a faint tidemark in the upper corner of the front board; joints and edges with a touch of wear; corners tapped. Top edge gilt very lightly tarnished; preliminary gathering and fore-edge of the text faintly foxed; publisher's catalog tanned. Very good. BAL 3460. (#10121).
