Covers very lightly rubbed with a hint of soiling; backstrip faintly tanned; spine ends and corners softly pushed with just a touch of wear. Hinges starting, the endpapers mostly cracked, but they're still secure; faint offsetting to the endpapers. Near fine. Contains the first printing of Twain's "Extracts from Adam's Diary" (in the chapter "The First Authentic Mention of Niagara Falls"), as well as W. D. Howell's "Niagara, First and Last."
