Publisher's green cloth, spine lettered and stamped in gilt, front board lettered in gilt and decoratively stamped in black, gilt and gray; all edges of the text block trimmed; geometric patterned endpapers (also seen with floral endpapers, no established priority). Spine ends and corners very softly pushed with a touch of wear; covers very lightly soiled; decorative stamping on the front board with a few tiny flakes. Text block sagging just a hair; hinges starting but still secure; bookseller ticket on the rear endpaper. Near fine. BAL 3429. (#10102).
