Original periodical issue, a monograph featuring the first edition of Stan Brakhage's "Metaphors on Vision." Quarto (11 x 8.25 inches; 280 x 210 mm.). Unpaginated; 11 leaves on glossy stock comprising the introduction, 32 leaves on card stock. Negative portrait photograph printed on tissue, inserted at the front; numerous full page and in-text illustrations throughout, including facsimiles of the author's handwriting. Publisher's side-stapled binding in the original corrugated card wrappers with a die cut hole, wrap-around label (partial, lacking the front flap) affixed along the upper edge. Spine very gently leaning. Text barely bumped at the top corner, fore-edge very lightly worn. A near fine copy with a fair wrap-around label (torn along the fort edge of the front wrapper, missing the front flap, a few holes from insect damage in the center of the top margin; old bookseller's price sticker (U. T. A. Bookstore, presumably The University of Texas at Austin); small chip at the top of the spine and two small, interior closed tears; two fox marks; general light rubbing and minor edgewear).
